Mission Raniganj Review: ‘Mission Raniganj’ like ‘2018’, thrill keeps you glued to your seat, Akshay Kumar wins hearts

New Delhi. Akshay Kumar and recently married actress Parineeti Chopra’s film ‘Mission Raniganj’ has been released. If you are looking for a good story in a film, then you must have seen the Malayalam film ‘2018’. In Tovino Thomas’s film based on Kerala floods, tragedy and survival were shown very effectively. Now Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Mission Raniganj’ has come with some similar exciting drama. Produced by Pooja Entertainment, this film is based on the accident that took place in a coal mine in West Bengal in 1989. Let us talk about the story, acting, picturization and direction of this film based on a true incident…

Story: The story of the film is based on Jaswant Singh Gill, who was an engineer at IIT Dhanbad. In 1989, there was an accident in the Raniganj coal mine in West Bengal, in which many workers were trapped 350 feet below. Then Jaswant had saved the lives of 65 laborers in two days. This great work of Jaswant, who is called ‘Capsule Man’, has been shown in ‘Mission Raniganj’. The film begins with Jaswant playing Akshay and his wife Nixon Kaur i.e. Parineeti Chopra. One day Jaswant gets the news of an accident in Raniganj and from here the journey of adventure begins.

Direction: The subject matter of the story is such that if it was not presented well, its soul would have been lost. Here director Tinu Suresh Desai has to be praised. Desai has maintained his grip from the first shot of the film till the climax. He has depicted fear, thrill and faith very well, which keeps the audience engaged the whole time. From building things up in the first half to the climax in the second half, the story does not let the thrill slacken anywhere.

Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra are seen together for the second time after ‘Kesari’.

Acting: Akshay Kumar has mastered the art of adapting to the characters of the story. As Jaswant Singh Gill, he has captured the soul of this character. Akshay has very well shown how the real Jaswant Singh took the lead in such a difficult situation with confidence and wisdom. Whereas actors like Kumud Mishra, Ravi Kishan have worked to make the story more powerful with their respective characters. He is at the center of the film and he has been successful in doing justice to the character. At the same time, Mrs. Raghav Chadha i.e. Parineeti Chopra had nothing special to do. The supporting characters trapped in the mine have also done a good job.

Overall, the film takes us to the world of 18 years ago, when workers were facing death and their only hope was Jaswant Singh Gill. If you like a good story and exciting drama then this film is for you.
